If you were to have a fire to your kitchen, this in itself would be very costly as the items that you would have to be replaced would be very costly because you have a lot of very big items that would be lost. If you don\'t keep all of the items in your kitchen cleaned and running properly, any of them could start this fire because hot grease can travel all over your kitchen and land on everything in it. This is one of the main reasons that a fire can start in your kitchen.

Even if your kitchen is as spotless as you might think, some of this hot grease and the fumes, which is moisture, will land on the cords behind all of your appliances and so any small spark or bare or ragged wire can short and send this spark into your kitchen and start this fire. You will need to do monthly checks of all of your wire cords and if you don\'t have the time, at least do this every six months and keep a chart of when you do this so that you know when to do it again.

If you find bad cords on your appliances, you could replace the cord but the best thing to do is simply buy a new one. I know that times are hard and that money is tight, so if you think that you know of someone who might have the knowledge to be able to fix it right, have them do it and try to find a good used one or maybe find someone that might be selling their old one that you might be able to get for a fair price. As these are usually older models, you will have to in the near future go out and buy a new one, but this will give you some time to be able to come up with the money needed to come up if the money to buy it new.

With this fire in your kitchen, you will also have the mess to clean up and other smaller things to have to go and buy again. Some of these items you can find at yard sales and flea markets with most of them you can find at the department stores pretty easily. Sometimes you can find them at some pretty cheap prices, but even before you can start doing any of these things, you will need to call your insurance agent to have him look over the damage to see how much help they can give you.
