In today\'s situation of our economy and the shape it\'s in, you will see a lot more people going to yard sales to save themselves some money. With the money situation becoming so tight for most families, you will see a lot more people having these yard sales to make some money that they can use for other things. There will be more estate sales because most people won\'t be able to hold on to this property, as they might really need this money to keep their main home.

In most estate sales, the lone homeowner usually will try to sell most of their things to either move into a smaller place or so the proceeds can be divided between the remaining family members, or maybe this home has been repossessed and must be sold to help pay their debts. When you go to these places or sales, you will want to check the items you are buying very well because they might have some damage on them from fire or water damage, and you won\'t want to buy these.

In some cases, it is almost impossible to tell if you are going to get something that has either been in a fire or has some kind of water damage until you get to looking in the boxes that you have bought. Then you will find the things that have this damage on them. If you smell something musty, however, then in most cases you will find this damage. This will usually happen when you go to estate sales, but in some cases you will find it in a yard sale.

As most people are just trying to come up with some money to keep their property like maybe make their car or truck payment or try to keep their home by selling some of the things that they don\'t need any more, you can usually get your hands on some things that you might need for almost no money, as sometimes these people will really need the money more than they need these items. Then sometimes they might not have any other choice but to sell the item to get money and since time, in most cases, are against these people, they will sell this or that item for a lot less than normal to help keep the wolves off of their backs for a while longer so that maybe things will improve.
