What is an autoresponder and why is it so important to my business?



An autoresponder is a piece of software that allows you to send email to people automatically. The email is sent to individuals that have completed a form requesting information from you. The autoresponder software doesn\'t automatically write the emails for you, that is something you will have to do yourself.





With an autoresponder you can send emails to prospects on a regular basis. You can not send email to individuals that have not opted in to your information. That is considered spamming and you don\'t want to do that, nobody will thank you or buy from you if you fill their email boxes with a bunch of unwanted mail.



An autoresponder can be set up to go out at different intervals, (ie., 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, etc.) It doesn\'t matter if you are at a computer, the emails will be sent according to the schedule that you have established. You can set up an unlimited amount of autoresponder emails to be sent out. Please be careful with the amount of autoresponders you email to your prospects because you don\'t want to bore a prospect if you decide to send an email a day to them. You will also want to include the option of opting out of your list.



The main benefit of an autoresponder is that most people need to be told a total of seven times about the opportunity before they decide to buy a product. If you structure your autoresponders to go out with several days in between each one, you will increase the likelihood the prospect will actually read your email and respond to your product or business opportunity.



An autoresponder is a simply form of permission marketing. The individuals receiving the autosponder emails have giving you permission to receive real quality information about your product.



Using an autoresponder can keep you in touch with your prospects and save you the cost of packing and mailing your prospects with information via the post office.
