I very rarely watch \"animated\" TV shows like The Simpson\'s on television anymore. I just can\'t really get into it. Nonetheless, if I happen to catch The Family Guy - I will without a doubt watch a few minutes because this show is definitely hilarious!

I don\'t know what it is but the characters just \"fit\" together. This is a show that started back in 1999 and went til 2002 and then it went off air for about three years until 2005 when it came back and it has been running strong ever since!

Well no wonder - with the genius voices of people like Seth MacFarlane it\'s exactly what makes this show so funny. The name Seth MacFarlane probably rings a bell with a lot of you because he was a writer on a lot of the other \"animated\" TV shows like Johnny Bravo and Cow & Chicken. In Family Guy he is Peter Griffin and the famous one year old baby - Stewie (which he does using a British accent).

The show centers on a dysfunctional family in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island. The show uses frequent \"cutaway gags,\" jokes in the form of tangential vignettes. This show is one of my favorites because of Stewie alone and I think a lot of people can agree with me that he is the \"star\" of the show with all his maniacal antics and overly-matured wit! There are a few people out there though that are somewhat outraged by Stewie because he is a younger and cuter version of Bart Simpson. Notice how he always seems to be doing something \"awful\".

Frankly, I don\'t understand the people that take this seriously. It\'s an animated TV show! If you think it\'s wrong or you don\'t like the show - don\'t watch it and don\'t let your kids watch it. Honestly I don\'t think of children when I think of Family Guy anyway. I think of adults laughing quietly while their little ones are asleep! Well with lines like - You\'re an evil child.

Why, why did I have to go and smoke pot when I was pregnant with you? I hope you really aren\'t letting your kids watch this! But if you are an adult or close to one anyway and you are looking for a really funny show that you can either relate to or just laugh at - Family Guy is probably a good option for you. Oh, by the way!

Some episodes are not aired in full in their initial broadcast because of profanity or cultural references. Scenes are either re-edited or removed entirely from the episode. Some cut material is restored for later broadcast on other venues, such as Adult Swim. DVD releases also contain the uncensored material.
