Quite a few new entrants in this Network Marketing industry does not pay proper attention of having a coach and effective mentor in the sponsor. If you ask me, it's very important, but why?

To start with, let's get clear with the meaning of mentor and coach. A mentor needs to be a trusted and wise teacher where as coach should be able to give advice and instruction.

Ideally, your sponsor should have a mix of both these qualities. These words signify the type of teacher you require to improve your success percentage. You need a person whom you can rely on, who can get the results from your and then teach you the same.

New entrants are pulled in this business by the premise that it's easy and simple. I believe that anything you know will be easy and you will get success in that; however, we cannot say that the new entrant will also feel the same.

Probably, because network marketing will be your first home-based industry you are required to learn from the first step and that too in a very systematic way.

But, unluckily many sponsors just give the information to new entrants and then ask them to question if they have some doubts. This is not an effective way of training; it leads to overwhelming information with the new entrants. They start feeling embarrassing and confused to consistently ask questions to their sponsor who makes them feel that he is disinterested and very busy.

This eventually leads to failing of the dreams of a successful business of the new entrants.

You require a person who can develop your mindset for this business, teach you marketing, lead conversion, and how to pass on the knowledge. Without such basic knowledge, it will be difficult for you to achieve success. You require a person who can hold your hand and take you towards success and who understands that this will also take him to success.

In reality, you cannot blame sponsors too for improper mentoring and coaching. Sometimes they themselves don't know much. Unluckily, it's the owners who don't have the required mindset to take complete responsibility.

The make sponsor responsible for their failure. In the end, I would conclude that a mentor and an effective coach can often get you to success through a short cut but the ultimate person to be held liable for success or failure of yours is you.
