Before you go holidaying somewhere it is normally an idea to know what to do there, especially if you have kids who are travelling with you. Turkey is a destination that is quite and millions of holiday makers go there every year. So what are the activities to do and places to visit on Turkey holidays?
Enjoy your accommodation - this might seem quite apparent but Turkey has some fantastic hotels which have a lot to do in them. Obviously the more stars the hotel you stay at has the more there usually is to do there. For example many 3-4 star hotels that are located on the beach have water sports, spas where you can enjoy a Turkish bath, bars and restaurants.
Go on a boat journey - this is one of the things that turkey holidays are really well known for. So if this interests you, go to the harbour and you can see the different boat trips on offer. Some will take you around the Turkish coast, some will take you fishing, on some you can see places of interest or you could even go on a evening boat trip, the choice is yours.
Visit one of the many different places of interest. In Turkey there are many different cultural places that may interest you and two of the most well known are Ephesus an ancient ruined city where Plato is thought to have lived. The other is Pamukale which are a collection of mountainside pools which are made from calcium and look like clouds. This is an experience unlike any other and something that any teenager in your party will enjoy on Turkey holidays, children younger than this may find the heat too oppressive.
Enjoy some of the local cuisine - Turkey is famous for its kebabs and you should try out some original Turkish cuisine whilst on holiday there, these are real kebabs and not the ones you would find on your high street after a night out. The food is tasty and moreish and you will be spoilt for choice from what is offer. In fact you might like it so much that you will need to bring clothes to accommodate your growing waistline!
Have a Turkish evening - go on Turkey holidays and you should take in some authentic Turkish entertainment such as belly dancing, which men can do aswell as women. This is guaranteed laughs for all the family and you might even be encouraged to take to the floor yourself. You will also be able to sample a local beverage called Raki which is quite strong - so take your time!
You can also go on a camel ride, these are not always for the faint hearted as camels do tend to have a mind of their own when it comes to their movement but they are still lots of fun either way.

With so many things to see and do you will have the time of your life in this wonderful tourist destination.
