I love the Internet. Its like a super-directory where you can find all the information, products, and services you could or would ever need. And having bad credit and looking for a way "out" is no different! A few weeks ago I was asked by my cousin to try and find her a way to reduce her bad credit. Apparently I'm the Internet Wizard because family and friends think I can find anything on the Internet. Well in this case, I''ll give myself a gold star for effort because I actually did find something that could potentially help her, or anyone else out.

The solution isn't going to cost you a lot, it's very simple for all of you computer illiterate folks, it takes under an hour to fix bad credit and these programs will get them removed from all 3 (Equifax, Transunion, and Experian) credit bureau reports practically immediately. It really is easy. I found one site that offered a do it yourself credit repair kit that costs just under $30! Now that is an awesome price for a lifesaver like this. But how does this help fix your credit? Plainly stated the credit bureau, as well as creditors, are required to follow accuracy procedures before they can legally place information on your credit report.

Any information that is not complete, or not accurate, or not verifiable is not supposed to remain. During the credit repair process creditors and credit bureaus are forced to back up their claims of accuracy. Once an error is identified, if it can't be proven 100% accurate, the item must be removed. There are other methods also used in special situations, but most situations fall under this scenario. On a few of these sites I saw people saying that is helped fix bad credit in under 30 days. But there is also a TOS on most of the sites that state that this is something not to be stated as "normal" and usually only happens in rare case.

They also say that it will be fixed in 3 - 4 months usually. Honestly, some of us have been screwing up our credit for years - so if it takes a measly 3-4 months to fix it? I think we can wait that long! Not only is this about fixing credit that you may have inflicted by over spending, or by not paying specific debts - but it also fixes errors that may have been mishandled. This happened a few years ago to my mom. She had a credit card, and canceled it. But I guess they never "officially" canceled it.

So the account sort of just sat there for about 7 years. After that, another creditor took over that company and bought the information off of FICO. About 2 weeks ago she received a call that this 7 year card that was supposed to be canceled had been sitting there collecting "dust". Ugh! In this case, it was not my mom's fault and instead was the creditors fault for not placing the case in the closed department! Needless to say since they didn't bother her for 7 years, she canceled it, and she won't pay whatever the fees are for having them NOT close the card - will never be paid.

There is actually a law against this. If she would have gotten software like this, maybe this would have been cleared off her history! Just the same - any major errors that weren't your fault and that were made by someone else - these credit repair software programs can find and fix those as well! So this isn't just about fixing your history, but it's about mishandled operations as well. Help yourself, find out a way to get this stressful problem out of your life so you can start living more comfortably. There is a way - you just need to do some searching around on the Internet for an easy do it yourself credit repair kit!
