The console war is a very fierce one and a lot of different companies have been battling out with innovative titles and product launches. But which one do people choose? I mean all consoles have their benefits and all have their downsides.
Well, only recently I exchanged my Xbox 360 for a Nintendo Wii and I will let you know the reasons why this was done. In all honesty I have nothing at all bad to say about the Xbox 360, it has some amazing graphics and the titles will literally blow you out of the water. But for the reasons listed below I swapped my Xbox for a Wii.
Time
Life is so hectic in this day and age and it is quite hard to find the time to do anything, let alone allowing yourself to be immersed into a complex title. As many gamers may know you may be only perceiving that you have been playing the console for a few minutes, but in reality you have probably been on it for a few hours. The Wii on the other hand does not have too many complex titles, so you can switch it on play for a few minutes and then switch it off without be full of stress.
Fun
Again the older you get the less you want to sit down in front of a console and play on your own. As a person with kids it makes it a lot more enjoyable to play as a family and this is what the Wii does. It gets people together to have great enjoyment.
Fitness
This was probably the biggest deciding factor. As mentioned above, time is something that a lot of us do not have in this day and age. So we can hardly find time for fitness. Personally I do not want to sit down all day playing a console and not moving, as it will make me and my family unhealthy. Now that winter is approaching it will be harder to go out and stay fit, so having a Wii will allow you to have fun, stay fit and save time.
All in all each and every console has numerous positive aspects, but personally for me I believe that the Nintendo Wii is the way forwards and it's something that fits in with everyone's lifestyle. Computer games should be fun to play, not strenuous and not take up too much time.
