"Thank you for the home gym. Can you please send muscles?!"
The online business marketer has to know the limit of their relationship with their customers. Are you responsible for the muscles or just the safe delivery of the equipment in good functional working order?
Sure you could offer some advice on how to work with the new equipment or if your online business is about selling a business opportunity you could offer some advice on getting the opportunity up and running but the responsibility for ultimate success of the product and how it is used on a daily basis is up to the purchaser.
This does not take away from the concept of supporting your down line with the best advertising products you know about and the best places to advertise and promote but it is important that you don't get so caught up in after sales care that you end up working to make someone else's business successful. Or is it?
This issue is particularly relevant to marketers selling online business opportunities. The entrepreneur mindset is one where the persistence and determination to be successful comes from within. It does not come from your sponsor or their sponsor.
Be sure that you understand this before getting involved in an online business opportunity. You have to be prepared to try and fail many times. You have to be prepared to start off afresh where others have made the decision that it doesn't work and walked away.
You have to believe that what you are doing is valuable to you and to others and that if you keep doing it then you will eventually become successful. This may take anywhere from three to six months if you are inexperienced.
You can't sit the gym equipment in the corner and expect to get muscles without putting the effort in, but was it the gym equipment that you purchased? Or did you purchase the concept of having a muscular body. The goal at the time of purchase was not to have a gym sitting in your lounge room as an ornament but the body that you could parade down at the beach.
This is important for the purchaser of an online business venture too. Are you purchasing software to sit on your hard drive or are you purchasing the opportunity to improve the financial situation of you and your family.
You can expect support encouragement and constant reminders to stay focused and on track from your sponsor but at the end of the day what you buy with an online business opportunity is just that; an opportunity to develop an online business.
Without the proper nurturing and effort from you as the entrepreneur owner it is not going to grow and generate income.
