Japanese have always led the world in electronic inventions and they have always been a step ahead of others in this technologically advanced era. And now, there are speculations that they have even brought out the world's first 4G phone! NTTDoCoMo, Japan's leading Telecom Company, has brought out a 4G prototype handset and they also have a service set up at their headquarters to demonstrate what 4G networks will be like.

This uniquely shaped prototype comes with a pair of 3D goggles and is believed to have download speeds of 1GB per second! 4G promises to deliver so much content into our handsets and lives at such ridiculously blink-quick speeds that it creates a new way of looking at the world.

4G uses both combination of WiMax and WiFi technologies to transfer data. 4G WiMax used for wireless networking allows for more efficient bandwidth use, interference avoidance, and is intended to allow higher data rates over longer distances. It is believed that 4G WiMax can provide about 10 megabits per second of upload and download, at a distance of 10 kilometers from a base station!
