Well if you take a bit of time and look into what other people are doing you should have no problem at all coming up with heaps of fresh ideas and inspiration for your small bathroom design.

How do you think top hotels, restaurants, designer homes, and more get their ideas when it comes to designing their bathrooms? You probably would say "well they just hire a top designer to do the job". That is most likely true but where do you think those designers get their ideas from? The answer is simple - magazines, the Internet, and photographs of successful bathroom designs.

So we've agreed that using photos is a great way to find inspiration for you next design and now let's talk a bit about how to go about collecting these photographs. Right off the top probably the fastest and most convenient way is going online and searching for photos. Many people don't do this properly but all you need to do is go to a search engine like Google and do an image search. You'll find loads of great photos if you type in different keywords and have some patience.

Once you start finding photos that you like on the internet make a folder on your computer and just start saving these photos to the folder. Later when you feel satisfied and are done with your Internet research you can just print up all the winning photos that you think will help you or your designer with the design direction you're hoping for.

Another great way to come up with inspiration for your small bathroom design ideas is to buy a bunch of magazines you like and either mark off the pages that you like or cut them out and start a small scrapbook of ideas. Some of my favorite magazines for finding bathroom ideas are exotic resort magazines. You'll find tons of great designer ideas in these magazines that you can apply to your own bathroom.

Using photos when gathering ideas for your new design is priceless. Whether you're trying to upgrade your bathroom yourself or you want to hire a designer to help you, doing a bit of photo research will save you time, money, and most importantly help you get the results you're looking for.
